A Very Helpful Book - Highly Recommended
I would recommend this book to anyone who pulls out their hair, or anyone who
is close to someone who does. This is not a huge book, but it is packed full of
helpful information. It is written in a clear, informative, and easy-to-read manner.
The authors obviously have extensive experience and really know what they are talking
about. The examples are very realistic as well. A few of the chapters include one
just about medication, one just for friends and family, and several with specific
cognitive and behavioral exercises you can start to do right away. Most of the
chapters get you involved with exercises, some of which you will do every day,
so get a notebook ready! The book is not overwhelming but will show you how to
start out slowly by keeping track of your daily hair pulling, and progressing
to more advanced exercises that will help you gain control of your pulling.
Although I am just starting out working with this book, I can see it has great
potential to really help me and I highly recommend it.
